Doane’s Tyson Beauperthuy Named CSC Academic All-American

Tyson Beauperthuy, a standout wrestler from Doane University, was named to the 2024–25 CSC Academic All-America® NAIA Men’s At-Large First Team. He is one of just two wrestlers on the First Team and joins an elite group of past Doane honorees.

 


 

Athletic Achievements (2024–25):

  • Defended his U.S. Senior Beach Wrestling National title (Huntington Beach, CA) — went 4-0, unscored upon.
  • Won gold at the FISU World University Beach Wrestling Championships in Brazil (3-0 record).
  • Went on a 33-match winning streak during the season, finishing 33-1 as NAIA National Runner-Up.
  • Named GPAC Wrestler of the Year, GPAC Champion at 184 lbs, and NAIA All-American.
  • Represented Team USA at the Pan-Am Championships in Mexico:
    • Silver in Beach Wrestling
    • 4th in Greco-Roman
    • Helped Team USA win the overall team title
  • Finished 3rd at the U23 U.S. National Championships in Greco-Roman (Ohio), earning All-American honors.
