Two Lopers Qualify for NABC Academic Team
Kearney, Neb. – Veterans Tom Connelly and Allen Taylor represent Nebraska Kearney on the 2024-25 National Basketball Coaches Association (NABC) Honors Court.
To qualify for this award, a student-athlete must be a junior, senior or graduate student who finished the 2024-25 academic year with a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher.
Taylor (Bradley, Ark.) was a third-team All-MIAA selection last winter who maintains a 3.44 GPA as a Physical Education/grades 7-12 major. Connelly (Denver) took a medical redshirt last year but has 72 made three pointers in 62 career games. He has a 3.30 GPA in Sports Management & Recreation.
The Lopers won 12 games in 2024-25, were the fifth seed in the MIAA Tournament and had three players named all-conference.
