No. 10 Huskers Stay Undefeated with Road Win at Ohio State
The 10th-ranked Nebraska men’s basketball team remained unbeaten Monday night, using a decisive late 9-0 run to secure a 72-69 victory over Ohio State at Value City Arena in Columbus.
Nebraska improved to 15-0 overall and 4-0 in Big Ten Conference play, the best start in program history. After leading most of the game, the Huskers briefly trailed late in the second half before responding with a critical scoring surge to build an eight-point advantage in the final minutes. Ohio State cut the lead to one in the closing seconds, but clutch free throws and a defensive stop sealed the win.
Freshman Braden Frager led Nebraska with 15 points off the bench, scoring nine in the second half and delivering key plays down the stretch. Rienk Mast added 12 points, while Jamarques Lawrence and Pryce Sandfort each contributed 11. All eight Huskers who played scored, highlighting a balanced offensive effort. Nebraska’s bench made a major impact, outscoring Ohio State’s reserves 22-0.
The Huskers also controlled the boards, outrebounding the Buckeyes 38-29 behind nine rebounds from Sam Hoiberg, who also dished out four assists. Nebraska has now won 19 straight games dating back to the 2025 College Basketball Crown and is off to its strongest start since joining the Big Ten.
The Huskers conclude their two-game road swing Saturday at Indiana.
