Ian Heck Named Third-Team NAIA All American

York Athletics

YORK, Neb. – The NAIA announced its 2025 Baseball All-Americans on Wednesday morning, and York University's Ian Heck earned a spot on the prestigious list, being named to the Third-Team All-American roster. Heck becomes just the seventh Panther baseball player in program history to receive the honor and the first since 2019.

Heck, a dynamic two-way player for the Panthers, led the team in multiple statistical categories throughout the 2025 season. At the plate, he posted an impressive .398 batting average, racking up 74 hits and 72 RBIs. His .774 slugging percentage was fueled by 16 doubles and 18 home runs, showcasing both consistency and power in the heart of the lineup.

On the mound, Heck compiled a 7-4 record with a 5.61 ERA over 69 innings pitched. He tossed three complete games and earned one save, providing valuable innings and versatility throughout the year.

"Ian has been a cornerstone of our success this season," said Head Coach and Director of Athletics Brian Walth. "His ability to impact the game in so many ways made him one of the most valuable players in our conference and across the NAIA. This honor is well-deserved, and I couldn't be more proud of him."

Heck's recognition adds to a growing legacy of Panther excellence and marks a high point for the 2025 season.
