Former UNL Volleyball Standout Michelle Sjuts Receives Nebraska Greats
Foundation Medical Grant
The Nebraska Greats Foundation has awarded its latest medical financial assistance grant to former University of Nebraska–Lincoln volleyball standout Michelle Sjuts. Sjuts, a former Husker athlete known for her dedication and competitive spirit on the volleyball court, is the most recent recipient of support from the Nebraska Greats Foundation. The grant will help offset medical expenses she incurred due to a serious medical situation involving her eye.
The Nebraska Greats Foundation provides financial and medical assistance to current and former Nebraska athletes who are facing significant hardships. Through the generosity of donors and supporters, the foundation continues its mission of helping members of the Nebraska athletic community during times of need. Sjuts’ athletic accomplishments and contributions during her time with Nebraska volleyball made her a respected member of the Husker sports family.

My family and I are incredibly grateful to the board for coming alongside us during a time of need and awarding me a grant. Today, the Nebraska Greats Foundation is proud to support her as she works through this challenging medical situation. Michelle currently is employed through the Lincoln Public Schools and is a High School teacher.
The Nebraska Greats Foundation assists former and current Nebraska athletes from the 16 colleges and universities in the state of Nebraska who experienced medical or financial hardships.
